The upcoming PDC China Championship will feature a field of 16 pre-qualified players, with eight players from the PDC China ProTour Order of Merit and another eight regional qualifiers set to compete for the title.
In a field of 164 players who competed in the regional qualifiers, the final eight players will emerge from the last four China Championship qualifiers scheduled for August 16-17. The top two players from each event will advance to Sunday’s main event.
Among the standout players competing in the main event is China’s top player Xiaochen Zong, who will be aiming to secure qualification for both the 2024/25 World Darts Championship and October’s PDC Asian Championship.
The pre-qualified players from the PDC China ProTour Order of Merit include Xiaochen Zong, Lihao Wen, Bin Zheng, Chengan Liu, Xicheng Han, Zizhao Zheng, Jianjun Jia, and Zhiwei Lin.
The regional qualifiers who have earned their spot in the tournament are Binjie He, Tong Xu, Yu Zhu, Ruiling Liu, Jingsong Lin, Junyu Wang, Junjie Li, and Zishuo Wang.
The total prize money for the 2024 PDC China Championship amounts to $10,000, with the winner set to receive $2,000, the runner-up $1,000, and the semi-finalists $700 each. The format of the competition includes a round-robin stage with matches best of nine legs, followed by quarter-finals (best of three sets, best of five legs), semi-finals (best of three sets, best of five legs), and finals (best of five sets, best of five legs).
