In the latest installment of the Oceanic double-header, Peter Wright secured his second consecutive semi-final appearance by defeating last week’s champion Gerwyn Price. Wright impressed with an average of 103, coming agonizingly close to a nine-darter by narrowly missing double 12.
On the other hand, Luke Littler booked his spot in the semi-finals with a hard-fought 6-4 victory over Dimitri Van den Bergh. Littler showed great resilience to overcome a fierce mid-match surge from the Belgian, also maintaining a 103 average in the process.
Despite falling short in the semi-finals, Littler will head into the Jack’s World Series of Darts Finals in Amsterdam as the top seed. The prestigious tournament is set to feature some of the biggest names in the sport, all vying for glory in the Dutch capital from September 13-15.
