The Marshall Arena hosted the Tour Card Holder Qualifier for European Tour Event 13 on Friday afternoon, where ten players secured spots in the upcoming Czech Darts Open (ET13) in Prague from October 18-20.
In an impressive display, two-time European Tour event winner James Wade defeated a Dutch trio consisting of Jeffrey de Zwaan, Geert Nentjes, and Martijn Dragt to earn his first European Tour appearance since May.
Joining Wade in the field for the year’s last European Tour event are three-time ProTour event winner Callan Rydz and German number two Gabriel Clemens, who also secured their spots in the qualifier.
According to the PDC rules, the top 16 players from the PDC Order of Merit automatically qualify for each event, alongside the top 16 non-qualified players from the ProTour Order of Merit.
The format of the event involves seeding the top 16 players from the ProTour Order of Merit for the draw, who enter in the second round, with the remaining 32 players being drawn at random for the first round matches.
