Van Leuven and Sherrock secured their spots in the 2024/25 World Darts Championship through the PDC Women’s Series. Van Leuven finished second and Sherrock finished third on the Women’s Series Order of Merit after the conclusion of the season.
Van Leuven had an impressive year, claiming four Women’s Series titles which earned her a debut at the World Championship. She even set a new record with a remarkable 109.64 average to win the Event 21 title on Saturday.
Sherrock, on the other hand, will make her fifth appearance at Alexandra Palace in December. She had a stellar year, winning three Women’s Series titles to bring her total to 17.
In other qualification news, Mathers earned his place in the World Championship by winning the DPA Oceanic Masters. He defeated Harley Kemp 3-1 in the final and also overcame tough opponents like Craig Caldwell, Mark Cleaver, and Jaymie Hilton-Jones.
Sosing and Lee also earned spots in the 96-player field after their performances in the PDC Asian Championship in Manila. Sosing made it to the final where he was beaten 7-3 by Lourence Ilagan, while Lee secured his World Championship debut by reaching the semi-finals.
